  Soroptimist International Durban Club is proud to announce the opening of their first School Club at Avoca Secondary School. The School Club, called Soroptimist International Youth Activate (SIYA), will provide students with opportunities to undertake projects aimed at improving the lives of women and girls. SI Durban is confident that the Youth Club’s aims and objectives will align with the core values of Soroptimism, namely: - Fostering and developing increased learning and developmental opportunities. - Building strong relationships with organizations that share our aims. - Generating in young people a sense of responsibility and ownership of their actions. The School Club is mentored by educator Mrs. Ishara Singh, a dedicated member of Soroptimist International Durban.
