International Women's Day celebrates the achievements, vigor, and resilience of women all over the world. It also gives an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come in the pursuit of equality and how long a road is still before us. Women have always been at the forefront of any progress. From leading movements for justice to raising families, from making history in politics to breaking walls in science, business, and sports-women in every era have been working toward the betterment of the world. Still, in many areas, women are discriminated against, abused, or denied opportunities. The theme this year tells us that change begins with action.
